Mike was born and raised in southern Minnesota. At the age of 17 he began his career in masonry, and has been working in the industry ever since. Over the last 20 plus years, Mike has had the privilege of working alongside some of the finest masons in Minnesota–professionals with a wealth of experience in laying stone, brick, concrete, and block. These relationships have given Mike the opportunity to be at the forefront of industry knowledge, cutting-edge technology, and design trends.

Mike’s company, Fountain Masonry, was born out of a desire to have the flexibility to meet clients where they’re at and find custom solutions to each unique challenge. Mike has truly honed his craft. He has accumulated thousands of hands-on hours as both mason and foreman/supervisor. He has partnered with small construction businesses, as well as large scale masonry companies, both union and private. Today, Mike uses all this experience to provide a quality product to his clients. He is known for emphasizing excellence–honesty, hard work, and integrity–in everything his company does. 

In his spare time you will find him joking around with his wife Ashley and their four children, working out, playing the drums, fishing, or simply drinking a good cup of coffee out on the deck.
